Just heard about this! He was a great inspiration to me and will be missed dearly. One of the co founders of the Liberty net , a current events net formed in 1974.
Vic lived almost around the corner from me...about 3 miles but only 3 corners involved, I go past there 2-4 times a week but havent seen him in a few years. He was instrumental in bringing the Beverage antenna to the notice of low band operators by his book which preceded the ON4UN book by several years which brought it to new levels of understanding and construction. Both gone within a few days of each other. Carl
I used to talk to Vic back on the Liberty Net in the 1980's and 1990's. From shore and ship. I guess Vic finally used that "Golden Parachute" he used to joke about at the end of every net he conducted. Bon Voyage, Vic.
He believed in the "right to try" law, and from what I could tell, he tried one of the vaccines shortly before he passed.
