Without an escort to the club good luck feeling welcome as a general rule. What a club needs is a couple of people who are good with reaching out. Recently I joined a club online. I got a newsletter but that was about that. Of course its clown world right now so I haven't been to a live meeting but I can assume what it will be like.
If your lucky to find a club with a pulse make sure to support them.

We DEFINITELY have a PULSE here at YCARS!!! If you'd like to join us see our website at YCARS.org. We are meeting in person with limited attendance for the time being and all of our meetings are streamed. You will not only get a great newsletter but you will get a wonderful welcome and help if you need it! De NJ4Z

Tom and Quin, Another outstanding presentation on your Growing Ham Radio series. Just think the two of you put these discussions on as volunteers and probably with your own time and money all for the benefit of ham radio enthusiasts which probably exceeds one million us citizens not to mention unknown numbers of world wide ham radio operators.

I encourage you to continue your series by covering some of the precived negative aspects that occur with in ham radio. The power of free speech and right of opinion with civil discourse and understanding is necessary for all of us to live in peace and harmony.

Your rare from what I have seen. It used to be better when repeaters were active 20 years ago but now most clubs up here in the northeast are pretty dead. Great club up in NH though doing great things with schools. Maybe clubs should work on outreach to schools and let it build into more.

Schools, Scouts, and possibly maker clubs would be great opportunities to cultivate the next generation of Hams. It is tough with the schools because of budgets and training required to work with kids. The money issues can be solved with applying for and receiving grants for STEM/STREAM education especially in poor districts to fund equipment and materials. Scouting programs have the radio merit badge, we have a few members that assist with that training for local groups, and we will hold classes for the participants that are interested in getting their ticket. Marketing of Ham Radio as a STEM/STEAM program is a natural fit, you just have to get to the right educator that is willing to try it.

One wild idea could be to try and link up with other clubs in other countries over zoom and somebody project one club meeting to another club meeting or depending on the time zone. If your club station already has an HF demo is even better but with Zoom the Band is always open.
Just some cerebral popcorn here! Great sessions guys! John

Where cities will often have an international “sister” city somewhere in the world, how about an international “sister” club?
