How To POTA!!!

In this video I explain how I POTA and everything you need to know to get started POTA'ing for yourself!

But when I read the thread title, my first thought was, "I wait until the other guy is transmitting, then turn the volume up loud so I can hear it in the other room."

I think this was one of the best "How to do POTA" videos I have seen. It was:

1) Short
2) To the point
3) Good for a person that has never done portable or POTA/SOTA, and/or new Ham
4) Encompassed all of the key points in 12 minutes with little or no distracting techno babble.
5) Full of energy and enthusiasm

When I first started POTA I looked at lots of videos and they were mostly too long and included way too much information that was not needed.

It is already in the UK, a few hundred parks across the entire country! From GM-0097 on the northernmost Shetland Islands to G-0347 on the Isles of Scilly on the south!!

 

POTA has been in the UK for about a year now. Get out there and have some fun!

Thanks for getting out there and having fun Leah! We have some really nice changes coming to the https://pota.us site that will help with sorting bands, DXCC entities, modes, etc... so stay tuned. I just saw 45 park activations at the same time just this Saturday, so things are really picking up, and looking forward to getting a QSO with you and your family at some point. 73 W3AAX
