Great to see how the three 'Big Ones' are keeping us informed! It's about time we all started (at least) thinking about coming out of COVID hibernation Hoping everyone a better 2021 and HNY! 73 Chip W1YW
For those of us who would rather read the information than watch a video, is the text available? Thank you.
You have to understand, reading and writing have become a lost art - information must be conveyed by video and stay within the very limited attention span. Nothing here reflects negatively on this presentation. Instructional videos certainly have their place, but..........
Is this a left-over from the summer of 2020 or an early announcement of the 2021 event? There is no date on the posting. Regards, -Bruce
HAM-COM Thu, Jun 17, 2021 – Sat, Jun 19, 2021 After 41 years, Ham-Com has decided to close its doors in lieu of the restrictions in place for COVID-19 and the rising costs of putting on a show. The decision was not made lightly, but the safety and wellness of our volunteers, vendors, clubs, presenters, and attendees is our paramount concern. SMH? I can read faster than watching a video. What is the news, why watch a video? Orlando is already cancelled. Put it in writing.
Hi Lee, True, the live Orlando event has been cancelled. But as the chairmen explained in the video, a virtual "HamCation Special Edition" is in the works. It sounded like a lot of effort is going in to it to make it a memorable event. The live video format allows outsiders to participate with questions or comments. That can't be done is an original printed version. And transcribing a video presentation is a major undertaking. Regards, -Bruce
A simple 3 sentence post would be easier to read. You can have descriptive nouns and adverbs like the word currently included in the post. It's not hard to read and there are those without video enabled. You ought to be shaking your head at the lack of basic education preventing reading and writing and instead, relying on video.
Calm down guys...before you get labeled as Zed curmudgeons... Who needs to read?....We all know video, chats, etc...are the wave of the future and guys like us are just holding up progress....
