MUCH more appropriate than the first try in that "other" thread.... ;)

    Beautiful, actually. STUNNING countryside!

    Thank you, Dave.

There were interesting patterns of sunshine there on the mountains of the Ozark National Forest, but, wouldn't you know, by the time I got into my tower climbing belt and up 45 feet, it was mostly shaded.

I posted them here to compare the sharpness, by clicking on the full-size option.

It's amazing to me Jim that you still climb your tower!!! That's impressive.

I'm only 59 and can barely tolerate going 2/3 the way up an 8 foot step ladder :)

When I was about 12, I climbed the tower of a local broadcast station. Even though it was a 250 watter, I knew I had to take care getting across the base insulator. Got about half way up, when the engineer came out of the building yelling at me to get down. :D

    I love NW AR-Kansas. :)

BTW, how are the ticks and chiggers this year?

Up here I have not seen one tick or chigger.

We have had a drier than usual summer so maybe that had something to do with it.

Owing to the chemical warfare employed, only had one tick bite (that was before I spread the pellets). But have had about a half dozen chigger bites. I used to use anti-itch creams on them, but they didn't seem to help. Now, I just heat up a coffee mug of water, and roll the side of it over the affected skin. The burn pain goes away, and so does the itch.

I, too, get nervous on a step ladder, Dave. But no problem on an orders of magnitude more stable tower (especially now that instead of a length of 3 #12 conductor Romex, I use a Klein Tools climbing belt).
