Record numbers take UK amateur radio exams

On Friday June 26 the RSGB reported over 800 candidates had successfully completed their online Foundation amateur radio exam and over 650 exams were booked for future dates

The Society says it is hoped that bookings can also be opened to new Intermediate candidates in the near future, once existing bookings are cleared. Full exams will follow on in a similar manner in due course.

pity its not limited by band instead of an unforcable power restriction, might actually get some to get the next licence up

It's a pity the USA still limits frequency privileges arbitrarily based on license class.

If it went like the Uk then they would be all on hf and 11m vhf and above would be dead like the UK

I'm one of the 800 who passed the online Foundation exam :)

Planning on going for the Intermediate once that's offered online.

First, punctuation is your friend, don't be afraid to use commas and periods. I'm not sure how to parse that sentence into the meaning you intended.

Second, if a similar change in licensing in the USA gets more people on HF then my guess is that the ARRL would be quite pleased. There would be some displeased parties but there are always some displeased parties.
