Enjoy it. I’ve had one since April 10th and it’s a great little rig. I’ve done my first two POTA activations with it and had a great time. If I can find a spot sheltered from the rain, I’m going take it for Field Day.

 

We went to a spot today near thumb butte in prescott Arizona and i made maybe 3 contacts with the g90 and the mp1c super antenna on 40m. 20m was too busy with people. Not many true portable ops on here today. I wouldn't have made any contacts on SSB with my ft818 so the g90 has already done well for me.

I found a spot in a nearby park, but ended up working from my deck with a battery and five watts. Tough going, but I made five contacts, including IA, KY, GA, NC and NJ. My last contact reported RF in my signal and I found that I hadn’t reattached the ground which was in my car to take to the park. I decided to stick with QRP, but going up to max power at 20 watts is very helpful. I did a POTA activation on Friday and made 18 contacts in 36 minutes (XYL wanted me home), including four on 10 M SSB. I’m using a 60’ doublet fed with 600 Ohm ladder line into a balun which the ATU makes possible. Have fun - I’m going to hit the park today.

Im sure whatever you bring home we probably won't want to see. But a new radio that most people have never heard of is alot more interesting.
