Being only on VHF simplifies things.

Because of the post-Brexit difficulty of maintaining the Eire/Northern Ireland border, there is a modest chance that Ireland could be re-unified as one country and the UK would cease to exist as such.

Belfast is a very interesting city, it would be intriguing to see it re-absorbed into the Republic!

"...Maybe someday soon we can all respect France..."

Hey, no dissing the French. That is strictly a redcoat perogative :)
They wind us up about 'roast beef' and we wind them up about 'frogs legs', but to be fair, any nation that could make frogs legs taste nice definitely knows how to cook.

Don't forget they introduced us to fine wine, so we owe them....and they keep trying to teach us that the public doesn't have to take BS from the Govt but the english are too lazy to get their yellow vests on.

Would have thought this topic belongs in the Zed political forum...guess I'm wrong.
At least one Brit gets it.
"Brexit leader Nigel Farage has vented the frustration felt by many over the European Union’s refusal to compromise over Brexit Wednesday, telling Eurocrats that it is their fanaticism and bad attitude that is pushing Britain towards a full, ‘no deal’ Brexit on World Trade Organisation terms."

Gift? It cost 50 million francs and the forgiveness of 20 million francs in debt for the Louisiana purchase..all to fund the aspirations of another Euro-tyrant.

GM(your number here)×××. has always been DX; am I right!?

And whilst on the subject of the ridiculous posit, my ridiculous idea that the universe may contain regions where the speed of light may be higher has just come into review with a redefining for the SI units concerned with:

"The impedance of free space (more correctly, the wave impedance of a plane wave in free space) [...] the value of the impedance of free space is likewise exact. However, with the redefinition of the SI base units which are going into force on May 20, 2019, this value is subject to experimental measurement."

2 months after BreXiT. So er, things are er, right on schedule. I shall be looking to going to warp.

Fine wine was available in the MidEast when the Franks were still in caves.

Maybe so, but France was handy for a bit of fighting and looting, so probably their wine we stole first, and decided we liked it. Went down well while counting all the spanish gold we nicked :)

Dont forget that the Romans were the ones to "partially" civilize your island as far back as 43 to 410 AD and brought plenty of wine with them from EU, AF, and AS.....and left behind many black haired children with Roman names to continue to today:eek::rolleyes:

I am afraid a lot will happen. Import from EU (food and medicine) is one thing, ... how about Ireland and new borders? It will be a disaster when Brexit becomes fact without deals. UK Hams and CEPT can also become a challenge ...
