I was looking on hamspots and it showed ft8 activity at 14.130 . tuned to it and it sounded like and displayed like ft8 on the wsjt-x waterfall. does not decode. I'm not the brightest light bulb but I am very curious11
It's a trial run of the new WSJT 2.0 - 77 bit vs 74 bit (I think that's right) that's why you didn't decode. Freq is temporary. The new vs. will be available in a week or so. In time for Jan 19 contests. Others may want to add some detail. de Bruce KN4GDX
It was the FT8 Round Up contest - 14.130 was the watering hole for 20 meters. The contest required WSJT-X version 2.0.0 rc5 to decode. https://www.rttycontesting.com/ft8-roundup/rules/
According to the 'Logs Received' it was rousing success: https://www.rttycontesting.com/ft8-roundup/2018-results/logs-received/
