http://www.livefromthehamshack.tv/2017/08/23/episode-110-setting-new-rfinder-m1du/ -------------------------------------- I've done several videos on the RFinder devices, including interviews with Bob, W2CYK, who is the creator of RFinder. This video shows how to setup a new M1DU device from scratch - out of the box, upgrading and installing apps, to full normal use.
You can find most of what you want to know at AndroidDMR.com, but let me know if you have specific questions.
Nice Job on the review. I would like to get one. But i'm a apple guy for my flex. So it makes it hard to switch over.. I am almost there tho. I have a ipad I use for the flex also. 73 Jason and great video. Heck with them complainers. Jay W0JAY
Really what I want is something to stick my Iphone inside of and do D-Star but this basic concept is fantastic.
There is a company called Alianza that tried this a couple of years ago, but their Kickstarter never made. So I don't know what the current status is. Not sure if this is related or not, but the iBluestack board, which is for iPhones, will only do DMR and Fusion. They say that DSTAR isn't possible with Apple due to coding/programming issues with iOS. No idea, I am not a programmer, that is just what the makers of the board say. The Bluestack board, which works with Android and Windows, does all 3 modes, so apparently there is something about DSTAR that iOS doesn't like.
