It's as cold as violating FCC and international regs for 20+ years and making false and frivolous filings to the Commission and courts. *shrug*

(I should have added a smiley to the first).

 

He is at least partly, if not primarily responsible for the AM power debacle. His botched lawsuit against the Commission hardened their position to where they wouldn't change it come hell or high water. The subject came up at an FCC forum at Dayton, moderated by Johnny Johnston. He was asked whether the FCC was going to follow through on their stated commitment to review the issue in 1990. Johnston replied with an arrogant smirk "You took us to court, remember?".

 

Boy, the old time jammers are dropping like flies. Mike Gurnsey, David Tolassi and now Baxter.

 

Like they ever would have. Someone already got his notorious call about a year ago. What's funny is the guy is a Tech class.

Come to think of it, they could collect on his estate now that he's deceased.

 

I can not believe that the ARRL had an article about him on the home page. So many honorable Hams that we could feature on the home page and they pick this.

Having read the article in question on the ARRL page it's far from a glowing account of the man's life and appears to be factual to the extent I have followed the reports on this individual over the years. At the end of your life you can be remembered for being famous or infamous both can be newsworthy attributes.

 

I didn't hear about Guernsey. Wow.

 

Write to them in protest.
