Hey no need to get out the big guns, it's just a website moderator job ok?

 

I wonder if anyone here is fit for the job.

A ad in the newspaper may be a better place to look.

 

Ask yourselves this; how many personal attacks have occurred since this forum was set up?
There is the very real chance a little reverse psychology was played on us...

I don't think ANYBODY here would qualify for or relish the position of being Moderator here! Fred has allowed this backwater of the Forum and this thread in particular maybe as a 'social experiment'. Now that the over-aggressive Pool Boy is away from fronttline duty its amazingly well-behaved. Of course we are going to beat up on the candidates...isn't that what 'politics' implies?

 

But what about the old saying, "Peace through superior firepower?"

If the TOS doesn't include it, then it's not a moderator function. If I were a moderator and it wasn't in the TOS, I wouldn't do it.

All I'm doing is making a suggestion. Promoting an idea. It's not my site and I don't make the rules. But we WERE asked for input, and I gave it.

Was that wrong? Should I not do that?

I think you are right, If the overly aggressive troll is out of the picture things will settle down and stay that way.

We should be fully free to discuss issues that could affect our frequency and licence privileges, and other matters pursuant to our freedom to set up and operate a ham station, on any relevant forum.
