searched the forum-no results---does anyone know a good source to buy some microphone cable?
I dont need a lot, around 10 feet, I got a couple Electrovoice mics i wanted to hook up to my Yaesu ft-950 just to play around.
I have two fairly good mics,an md-100 and a Heil headset in use, but love the looks of these oldies and
wanted to give them a spin on-air.
Just got the bare mics, so also in need of a source for a four pin male plug to go into the Electrovoice 664.
Tnx in advance for any help.
Feel free to contact off list if you want K8MCN at arrl.net
PS_i did find one source for 4 wire mic cord, but minimum purchase was 1000'.....that would last my great grandkids lifetime hihi

2-wire shielded works fine and that can be found all over the place.

Worse comes to worse, I can send you 10-feet. I buy it in 500-foot rolls.

Belden Brilliance microphone cable #1776 and #2221 are used in professional, broadcast, and new digital microphones. Mouser and Digi-Key are 2 popular distributors. For amateur radio usage -- use #1776.

Bob Heil sells his Heil wire, which features 2 wires for PTT function outside the audio wire and shield.

Your popular retail or Internet amateur radio dealer should have these, in stock.
