The Potomac Valley Radio Club is pleased to host “Inside the CQ WPX Contest” Webinar with Randy Thompson K5ZD. The CQ WPX Contest is one of the major events on the contest calendar. In this webinar, CQ WPX Director Randy Thompson, K5ZD, will cover topics including rule changes, log checking, results reporting, participant surveys, and winning strategies for the contest. This is your chance to get a peek behind the log submission robot and ask those questions you have always had about the CQ WPX Contest.

The event will be held Sunday, March 14 at 20:00 UTC (3 PM EST). The event is free but you must register by going to: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/375601907 You can also go to www.pvrc.org and click the “Upcoming Webinars” link. Previous Webinars are archived under the “Recorded Webinars” link. We hope you can join us and pass the word!

    My Favorite Contest

This event is a lot of fun. With a 2x1 it's the only time I get to play being a "rare" station, but everybody gets a chance to have their call counted. So locals are in as much demand as DX. This is a good chance to work towards CQ's WPX Award too: http://www.cq-amateur-radio.com/wpxrules.html With conditions slowly getting better I hope more people join in this year.
