Recurrent solar cycle 24 sunspot group #11039 has risen above the eastern limb of the sun near 27 degrees south. It has been re-numbered #11041 by NOAA/SWPC. It appears as though this sunspot group will be very active and entertaining in future days and possibly push the sunspot count to new record highs.

Re : Sunspot count very high

This is great news for us DX chasers . It's been very noticeable with some of the contacts I've made in the past few days . :):)

    This certainly is good news!

Even those of us who are ragchewers/casual DX'ers/casual contesters are enjoying the improved conditions!

I'd almost forgotten how pleasant it is to, for a lack of a better description, be able to hear "deep into the band." On recent occasions, the noise floor has dropped and it's like all the previously hidden facets of the bands are again becoming revealed.

    It's been a long wait...

About time! Now I can show my xyl proof that my rig needs to be replaced with a newer rig to take advantage of the increased band openings! ;)

    HaHaHa !
I think it,s not the same reason where i told my XYL i need a new Rig because
the propagation is poor and i need a more selective device :D:D:D

Hope your XYL has no Access to this forum....:D:D:D:D
