Exclamation New Amateur Bands

Yeah I wish they would open more bands here in the USA!...But I guess Obama will give them to the mexicans so they can have the bands to use for when they sneak accross the borders. And the bands will be given to them free of charge and no taxes on them.!!!

Lightbulb Norway Allocates New Amateur Bands

KD4QHG,

Disrespecting President Obama has nothing to do with this topic. The allocation of those bands are made in the FCC and you really need to keep your mind on the topic and keep your mouth shut here. Before you proceed and further embarrass yourself here really need to have some self-control in your posting and personal grievances could be the result of our previous president administration policy and deregulating the laws so friends could allow themselves to fulfill their personal thirst for greed which partly caused the crash of the economy which we citizens are continuing to recovering.

Actually, the impediment to our access to some of those bands is the NTIA not the FCC - NTIA controls our 5 Mhz. allocation. FCC proposed to give us real 'band' there and NTIA shot it down.

The allocation at 12 meters is interesting - that could be good for something, but if we happen to get that much bandwidth there, it would be nice to see us find a non-traditional use for it that would help to increase utilization, so 12 doesn't follow 11 down the rat hole eventually due to underuse.
