Default When full service gas stations were really full service.

Do you ever long for the days whenever you could drive up to nearly any gas station and have an attendant "Fille'r up and check under the hood and even clean your windshield.? I know those days are long gone. In fact: I cannot remember the last time I was actually greeted by a gas station attendant.?
Huge profits and poor service have dominated have dominated the petroleum industry for years.

If I am not mistaken....

All gas stations in Oregon are full service (by law). Unless that has changed.

I see that everyday here in NJ, where we can't be trusted to pump our own gas.

Most local stations will clean the windshield and check the oil if they aren't busy.

I remember
MOST OF IT
You went down to the shore crossed the Dlaware River on a ferry

ate a hot dog and soda

Half way Denise ville I guess you would stop the car get it filled up use the rest room get a Coke and an Ice cream

Chit chat with the owner you knew them then

Back into the car and to the Wildwoods

on the way back stop get gas and produce

NJ was the best

Dont know about trusted to pump gas, I know in OR it was a right to work thing. It made a few more jobs instead of the duty weasel behind the plexi-glass.

In NJ it's not a trust issue. It's about keeping the price for the disabled equal to that of others.

Full serve isn't a bad thing, especially in winter.
