Question Reversing an Icom PS-55 modification

I recently obtained an Icom PS-55 (USA Version) which had been modified by a previous owner for use in Europe. I have no documentation for it. I was told it is relatively easy to reverse the modification so the unit can be used in the states. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Dan -

Icom IC-PS55.

This is a linear regulated PSU (13.8V DC/20A). Originally designed for the IC-735, will power any 12V 100W-class HF transceiver.
The IC-PS55 has a pigtail fitted with the standard 6-pin Molex plug.
The IC-PS55 cabinet matches the IC-735, and also the IC-725 and IC-728 series except for colour.

The IC-PS15 and IC-PS55 are not fitted with a power on/off switch. They rely on the radio's POWER switch to turn them on. The live side of the mains is routed through the transceiver's POWER switch via Pins 3 and 6 of the 6-pin Molex connector. In the more current series of Icom transceivers, Pins 3 and 6 are now shorted. Thus, these power supplies will power up immediately when plugged into the transceiver, as the radio's POWER switch is no longer able to switch the mains supply.

NOTE, the changes in wiring (schematic last page) to primary of the power transformer
for 120 VAC, 220 VAC and 240 VAC.
IF this is beyond your knowledge and skills -- consult a licensed electrician (journeyman or master) --
who can perfrom these changes.

You will also need to change the AC plug for North American power standards --

NEMA 5-15P

Thanks to both W9GB and KC0W for pushing me in the right direction - most helpful & most appreciated. I do have a soldering iron & I'm not afraid to use it :-)
I should be able to get it squared away this coming weekend. Thanks again - you guys are the best!!! 73, Dan
