I have just taken the advice from Craig (W8ZNX) about using a dresser knob in place of a navy knob for my J-38. Lo and behold, I requisitioned one of my wife's antique porcelain dresser knobs with flowers painted on it, found a screw that fits, and BINGO! Now I have a really, really pretty J-38. And the Knob (no pun intended) feels better than any Navy knob I've used in the past.
So, for the sake of having too much time on my (our) hands, what are some of the things you've snatched from the YL to use in the shack?

Actually if the truth were to be known, I'm the one who does the cooking, my roommate has mastered the Microwave Oven.
