Default speaking of trucks....

Tired of my Ford auto-lockers....locking up! (those of you with them know what i am talking about!)

Anyhoo... I have decided to ditch the auto locking feature and go to a stouter manual locking hub. Doing research and it looks like its a battle between Warn and Mile Marker manual hubs. Either way it isnt squat to retrofit them just a preference in brands.

Whats yer pleasure. Warn or Mile Marker.

P.S. Warn's so far are fiddy bucks more than a set of Mile Marker hubs.

I like them both. I think with Warn you are paying extra just for the name. I have owned both and never had any problems. I say buy the Mile Markers, save fifty bucks and buy a 5 dollar Warn decal if you need one.

Since I have a sign business with a vinyl plotter I just make my own. I don't even have to buy the product. So buy the M.M's and I will sell you a Warn decal for fifty bucks.

Anyway I have had good luck with Mile Marker products. I have their 12000lb winch on my dodge and it has never let me down. I used to think that I "had" to own Warn when I was younger. I went through 3 Warn winches on my old Ramcharger.

MM are made in China

Do I need to say more?

Good enough for our Armed Forces. I also don't see many Warns on commercial vehicles. Mostly all Mile Markers. Like I said before. I went through 3 Warns on a 8000lb Ramcharger in 10 years but am still on my first Milemarker on my 10000lb Dodge pickup after 13 years.

Edit: Speaking about winches not hubs.

I like warm wenches !!!!!!

But seriously folks, I like the MM products just fine. Warn has been inflating their prices for YEARS.

I had the option of buying a Warn 3k LB winch for my 4 wheeler or another "off brand". The warn (which my buddy settled for) was $400. My off brand was $69.

Once we got them we took them apart and looked inside. The guts were from the same manufacturers All of the stamps and guts were identical. Simply a different housing.

Needless to say, Warn makes an excellent product but just like Colt firearms, Warn is just too dang proud of their name.

Brad

P.S. For my big trucks I like MM or Ramsey winches. Ohhhhh, I just came up with a saying, AHEMMM "Warn winches will get you wenches but Milemarker/Ramsey will get you going again"

If anybody knows any of the MM or Ramsey guys I will be willing to sell this jungle for a fair market price Now if only I could figure out how to put the COPYRIGHT symbol beside it.
