Thumbs up Vertex VXA-700

I have 2 Vertex VXA-700 "Spirit" HTs for sale. Both radios have been used very little - and used gently when used. Both are 9 out of 10 in appearance (some marks on cases but no scratches on display.

These radios tx/rx the 2M band (AM or FM) in addition to the 118.000 to 135.950 air band (AM only). They will also receive the 108.000 to 117.950 navigation band with a CDI display.

I am selling these radios separately, $340 each, you pay shipping. Each radio comes in the original manufacturer box with operator's manual, OEM battery, antenna, charger and belt clip. Each radio also has the adapter for aviation headset plug-in. One radio will include the soft case, the other has the extra battery pack for AA batteries. First purchaser gets to choose which extra they receive!

In addition, I have the following for sale:

1 - EDC-5B DC adapter $15 plus shipping (works on models other than the VXA-700)
1 - MH44B4B Speaker Mic for the VXA-700 $40 plus shipping
1 - CT97/CT29 programming cables and software for VXA-700 $40 plus shipping

Shipping would be by the method of your choice from zip code 25504.

It isn't a mod - the VXA-700 was "factory original" to transmit 2M and air band. Vertex stopped production of the VXA-700 and is now marketing the VXA-710 which does not have 2M transmit - only receive for 2M and 150/160mhz. The confusion comes in with the name of the product - BOTH are named Spirit. You'd think they would have at least called the newest version "Spirit II" or something else.

Any chance you still have them for sale? Mine was just burned up in my truck fire.
