Default Halicrafters Equipment

I have come across some Hallicrafter equipment that was going to be dumped when clearing an old house out. I thought somebody would get some fun out of it and gave the family a nice "donation" (for which I hoped to get reimbursed.) I don't know anything about this equipment, but I thought it might be of interest to a collector or restorer. I don't know if it works, I don't even know how to hook it together. My wife thought it might need a car wash.
I have the following:
"TO Keyer"
Mod. PS-150/120 power supply
Model HT-44 (transmitter?)
Model SX-117 (receiver? or vice versa)
A 10x10 box of various tubes
A vinyl briefcase full of manuals
A Turner mic
Now the bottom line......
I'm open to offers on this stuff. I don't expect much. I can email pics if you are interested BUT I will not ship it. Its too heavy and too much work. You have to arrange to pick it up. Please don't ask for pictures if you live a thousand miles away and have no intention of coming to Wisconsin.
Because I need to have a price on this to keep it in this forum lets just say $100 and go from there.

Default Info for you

Hi Bob,

It looks like you are not very familiar with this old gear. These are great old tube type radios and have value, especially to a collector. I highly recommend you find someone locally who knows how to fire up this gear and check it out. You may be surprised that it might still be working. There is a good chance if it hasn't been damaged. See below some links to help you see what they are and how beautiful they are when cleaned up.

SX-117 Receiver: http://www.rigpix.com/hallicrafter/sx117.htm

HT-44 Transmitter: http://www.rigpix.com/hallicrafter/ht44.htm

These are a matched set and shouldn't be separated if possible.

I hope this is helpful to you. If I didn't live in Seattle, I would bid on them in a heartbeat!

73,

Mike - K7OV

Why does it matter that you live in Seattle? Do these radios not work in Seattle?

I need something to anchor my boat. Will these work for that? I'll give you $50.00 each if you throw in a length of rope.

That HT-44/SX-117 combo is one sweet set up if it is operating properly.

The transmit audio from the HT-44 is like studio audio if the right mic is connected.

The receiver is great too.

I had that setup and wished I had never sold it. I had more compliments about the audio on that transmitter than any other HF rig I have owned.

The receiver alone is worth more than $100 if it is in good condition and operates as it should.
