Default Somebody didn't like RTTY on 40M a few nights ago

Hi guys,

I was tuning around 40M for SKN and heard something very interesting. Around 7.040 there were of course RTTY signals.. then I heard someone sending the word "cockroaches" over and over in CW. It was very interesting.

I think someone found out how to use their memory keyer and decided to try it out.. or they just don't like RTTY down thar.

I thought it was funny.. even though it isn't funny...

Anyone else hear it?

Maybe he was hoping to QSO with a bug.

HMMMMM

Of course, we have all been told time and time again that
CW guys just don't do such things.

They are always perfect gentlemen.

Yes, I heard it, too. After listening to it about a minute I got bored and moved away off the frequency.
I don't know what his point was, but maybe he was angry at something.

Er...yes, he was angry at something. He was probably pissed off with RTTY operators who persist in operating in sections of bands where they aren't supposed to be ! They have a habit of persistently using their lousy gear on the one frequency used by PSK users with 30 watts using 31 hz of the 30metre band. And he's not the only one !
