Default Yaesu 897d DTMF Microphone feedback?

Hi I correctly istalled thru the menu, the alternative dtmf microphone and it does all the things it is supposed to. However on 80m I get reports of voice break up and on 29fm, having presed th TX button, the rig stays on TX. Probally due to RF feedback. However on putting on the original no frills mike that came with it, non of the above 2 faults occur. Another ham encountered this and wonder if it is wide spread?

If it is the MH-59 Mic you are talking about, yes, they are prone to a RF feedback problem.
Here is a cure from AE7Q

Much thanks to W6GQ for providing the link.
