Hi all i would like to ask a question, has anybody used or know of the Maldol MFB-300 vertical hf is any good, it states that it is 0-60 mhz, and only 7 foot tall. #Ive notcied it has a small loading coil at the base, but i am restrcied for space, and want to work 80-40-20-10.

heres the url http://www.hamradio.co.uk/acatalog/A...rt_Maldol.html #it seems to be good but i am unable to find any reviews anywhere. #Any Help would be most helpfull. #Or any other small hf vertical that you could recomend.

thanks in advance.

Mark

I saw some rewiews on eham and most of the responses were that it was a decent performer and operated like a mobile HF installation.

Mark,

I think that this antenna has a balun inside the small box and therefore it needs an antenna tuner to have SWR 1:1 for HF. A friend of mine who bought it, tested along with me in a distance 10km and the results were not so good. After all, it's not THE magic antenna...
