I use it with a 8m vertical as base-loaded one and it tunes all around 2-30MHz with VSWR 1:1-1:1,5-1,8 max. It is a relatively low cost and it is a cheap design tuner. The outside cover is made of plastic and it needs some extras (like marine silicon where it needs and sun shades) to protect it from the heat of sun and atmospheric pollution (-10c up +40c local temp GRC). Tune-up time varies from some millisecs up to 10 secs. It can't tune to 1,8MHz all the time and that is due to instability in low frequencies, I guess. I am planning to use a longer antenna (>30m) for it in the near future and see the results...73's
