First APRS beacon from Antarctica

To my knowledge, Ronald Ross (KE6JAB) became the first APRS user ever
to be tracked in Antarctica.



On 14 November 2000 at 15:18:20, Sunsat logged the following beacon:

KE6JAB-7>W1S1S3,APRSAT: `~KIl n>Now at Blue 1



This translates to:

KE6JAB-7, No. Triang, 71.31.33S, 008.47.45E


As soon as we have solved the last few
technical issues, his data will appear at findu.com. We should be
ready when he deploys his weather stations, at which time I'll post
the relevant links.
