Hi Friends: I just installed a new G5RV (40-10m) dipole and the ladder line is not perfectly straight but curled near the coax cable. Is it critical that the ladder line be straight to the center of the the dipole? So far I've had some signal checks and the transmissions appear to be ok. Am I concerned about nothing or should I try to straighten out the ladder line some more.

If by "curled" you mean spiraled like a corkscrew that's OK. The rule is don't have the ladder line within a few inches of anything conductive including adjacent turns of ladder-line.

As much as possible should hang vertical. Twisted is OK, coiled is not. None of it should be laying on the ground or be next to any metal such as masts, roofing, gutters, siding or what have you. Just do the best you can and as long as you don't expect any miracles it'll be fine.
