for people who have not heard of VU2RBI, I would request you all to do a simple google search with her call sign. she is one of the best known hams from india, all over the world.
The lady is a very sweet Ham and good friend to those who have worked with her both on and off the airwaves. My ship worked with her during the Tsumnami disaster off indonesia and Thailand where alot of good Hams died or were injured. I was on a support ship off the coast during that time period. My ship delivered tons of water and food supplies to the countries during the time. This lady appeared on CNN and also Icom and was given an award for her disaster relief efforts. My ship was part of the Battlegroup from Japan. USS Lincoln. I was on the USNS Rainier a Food and support ship.
As a fellow Ham of 27 yrs I am proud to serve along side a fine lady and great Ham. Thanks for her efforts. She like many just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
