Default GB3WX 6m/10m crossband repeater gets its NoV

GB3WX 6m/10m crossband repeater gets its NoV

The Wessex Repeater Group are pleased to announce that the UK regulator Ofcom has approved for immediate operation GB3WX, the UK's first 6/10 metre cross-band repeater.

It will be co-sited with the 2m voice repeater GB3JB, at Willoughby Hedge, South Wiltshire, IO81VC.

The system, when not being used as a repeater, will transmit a Beacon signal enabling those interested in propagation to directly compare signals, between 6M and 10M.

Both the 6 and 10 metre systems will transmit with the same ERP, from the same dual-band omni-directional antenna system, thus enabling direct comparisons to be made.

The proposal for GB3WX, which received widespread National and International support, will be the first of its kind in the UK.

Further detailed data can be obtained at the group's web site: http://twxrg.web.googlepages.com/home

We have those here in the U.S. too, but usually real-estate (land) related.
(i.e. deed restrictions variations, property line variances allowing the construction of something closer to the property line than normally allowed, etc.) Had me wondering....

-------------------------
From the email I received:

Further to our e-mail of the 3rd November, we would like to confirm the following operational characteristics, for the new GB3WX repeater, as defined by the formal NoV.

10m Transmit: Input Freq: 50.520 Mhz - Output Freq: 29.210 Mhz - CTCSS Freq: 82.5 Hz

6m Transmit: Input Freq: 29.210 Mhz - Output Freq: 50.520 Mhz - CTCSS Freq: 82.5 Hz

Mode: NBFM

CTCSS: Please note that the CTCSS tone is now the same on both bands.

Output Power: Will be 25 watts (14 dBW) ERP, on each band.

Antenna: Unity gain omni-directional vertical, on each band.

Beacon Mode:
When not in use, the repeater will ident on both bands simultaneously, every 60 seconds, to enable direct propagation comparisons to be made between the two bands.

Default 10m and 6m repeaters in Asia

Hi dear OMs,

Does someone has a list of 10m or 6m repeaters in Asia?
I am sure there is not a lot in South-East Asia, but I will be surprised if japanese ham do not run any HF repeaters.

Thanks by advance,
Yannick - XV4TUJ.

Nice to see someone operating on six near me!
I call quite a lot on 50.200 SSB, but NEVER hear anything (very noisy), probably down to the poor antenna.
I intend to get a 3 ele beam built in the next couple of weeks, so listen out (I'm just up the road in Phnom Penh, but occasionally have to work 3/4 months in Siem Reap).
Cheers
