I'm in the same boat with you. Became a Novice in 1976. Have been inactive until last month and now I'm a Technician. Good luck! -Ron

Hey Ron - it's a little strange getting back in the saddle again, isn't it? I haven't kept up with amateur radio at all over the past 30+ years. Technology has changed so much. Whew!

I just passed my Tech exam and I'm looking forward to sitting for the General exam sometime in Jan or Feb. I'm excited about getting back on the air again. CW is my first love. I'm a little rusty on it, but I think I'll get up to speed again pretty quickly.

I had the pleasure of passing the Tech exam about 2 months ago. A friend gave me a Yaesu VX-5 that he took in as a trade for a job. Anyway, I am working on my General and hopefully will be able to get that in December. My Uncle Tom was a ham for years, and since nobody in the family was interested in his ticket, I applied and got it back. Unfortunally, all of his equipment was sold back in 95. I too have the HOA problems, and will be hiding things in the atic and on the back deck. Good luck with your plans, hope to hear you on Echolink.

It's very cool that you were able to get your uncle's sign. Best wishes on your Gen exam. I'm studying for mine also. Hope to take it in Jan.
