Default Proper acknowledgement for lost HAM?

We recently lost an important member of our radio group. I will be running our radio net call-in tomorrow night. What is the proper manner to acknowledge him when I get to his callsign? I remember in some services, they call the member call sign three times and then note that they are forever silent. Is this appropriate in HAM?

Thanks

Make an announcement at the beginning of the net about the SK. When it comes time to call for his check in, announce that the net will go silent for one minute to honor your friend.
