I want to get a netbook for my work and would like to surf on the internet when I'm on public transports, but I don't know much about netbooks, I wonder if you guys could have any recommendations to me please? Which one should I choose? Sony? Samsung? Fujitsu? And where can I buy it for a good price?
I just got a Toshiba Netbook that claims an 8 hour battery life. Most netbooks are good for 3 or 4, so look at the Battery cell number. Mine is a 6 cell array.
Also, on public trans, it most likely you will not be in a WIFI hot spot for very long, so probably not very useful for the internet. Be very careful pulling it out (the NETBOOK!) on a Bus, as there might be miscreants and Tramps there looking to rip you off. I would keep it tightly packed, close to me (with a strap around my arm at ALL TIMES) so a Tramp or criminal can't grab it and run. I have almost $500 in my Netbook and acc and would be just SICK if some rat bastard ripped it off!

I just got this Acer Aspire One and I love it! We saved about $250 buying it through the VA canteen service though. 2.6 gig proc, 160 gb HD, 2 mb of ram...I am extremely happy with it, although the size takes a few hours to adjust to!

Pat, you shouldn't do that. They might take you with the puter.
