Hello to everyone.

We have noticed that some sellers have created a thread in the swapmeet section with a few statements such as:

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD, I AM RARELY ON QRZ

Do not PM me here on QRZ, I do not check that often,,,,,,

EMAIL me only at email@emailexample.org


Similar statements can really limit a response to your thread. We have seen items that get a reply but the seller/trader/wanter never follows up.

The following is a few things that can help.

Before hitting Submit New Thread, scroll down below the Submit New Thread button, and find the Thread Subscription option. Using the Drop Down menu Notification Type: Select the option Instant email notification.

This will email a response to your thread at the email address you registered with on the QRZ forum. Now if someone replies to your thread, you know about it.

Now the PM thing,

If you go to the top toolbar of QRZ you will see a link to your control panel. User CP

Click that link. On the left, you will see a list of topics.

Under the Settings & Options topic, choose the link Edit Options

Once you are in that section scroll down about half way on the page until you see Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages and click the box to select that option.

Once you have a check in that box scroll to the bottom and click the button Save Changes

That is it!



You will now be notified upon a reply to your thread or a PM sent to you which means a more effective listing.
