    Hey all,

The Nixa Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (KC0LUN), is selling Midland Syntech II Low-band VHF radios.  These radios, model # 70-0520CWB, have 320 channels with Scan, Priority, Monitor, and scan options, such as adding and deleting channels from your scan list.

In addition, they have a built in 1w VHF cross-band repeater that when activated allows the user to have all traffic on 6-meters re-transmitted onto a VHF freuqency of your choice.  Also, any traffic received on the VHF frequency will be transmitted out on 6-meters.  These are equipped with the multi-repeater controller so that if you get more than one person in an area using their repeater, it detects other users and shuts down others already on scene.

The radios, after modifications, transmit around 100w and squelch opens at 0.075 microvolts (that's NOT a typo--these are hot recievers!) and generally a 20 dB SINAD reading at .15 microvolts.

These radios come with all accessories--trunk mountable transceiver with locking mounting bracket & keys, 16' control cable, control head, microphone, external speaker, control head mounting bracket, power cord and mic hanger.

All proceeds go to the installation of our club's 53.270 repeater to be installed on a 600 ft tower near Republic, MO.  All repeater parts have been procured either by purchase or donation, all we need is the money to pay for the installation.

If you're interested in one of these radios, cost is $125.00 plus $15.00 shipping to the continental US.  We also have a Midland Syntech II radio, model #70-3400B that can be put on 2-meters--40w output--.15 uv to open squelch--for $75.00 + $15.00 shipping.  These are commercial radios that were originally purchased for about $1200 each.

If you already have one of the 70-0520CWB or 70-3400B Midland Syntech II radios, we can program & tune them up for you on the ham bands as well for a price of $50.00 + $10.00 in shipping (only need the actual radio unit--control head & cabling not needed).

Visit Nixa Amateur Radio Club for more information on not only the radios, but our club's 6-meter repeater project and e-mail James Adkins at kb0nhx@nixahams.netif interested in purchasing one or calls can be taken at 417-725-4884.

    73's to all,

    James Adkins, KB0NHX
