I want to expand some bands on my IC-756PRO, although I don't want to do this by removing diodes, I want to do it with the software.

Anyone know where I can get this ? I didn't find anything on icomamerica, and either this software is a secret, or some third party stuff made by amateurs.

    Thank you in advance.

As others have said and I've learned they are correct...

Why would you want to modify a perfectly good radio, especially the 756Pro?!? I could only *WISH* I had the money to afford that rig.

The radio was bought used from Denmark, and it is indeed a very good radio.

The reason I need to modify it is because IARU region 1 has expanded the bands.

We have been provided permission to operate on 7.100 to 7.200MHz, expansion to 7.300 will come Q1 2007.

We have also been granted permission to experiment on 5MHz (In cooperation with our Clubs), this modification do not only need a frequency TX expansion, but a hardware modification on the lowpassfilter as well, to avoid ruining the rig.

There has been some other issues as well, with 8V leaking and you may improve some parts for CW.

Although, it should be unnecessary to remove diodes to open up for TX, since these modifications may affect other parts of the radio for the 6m band, and I see no reason for opening up for TX on the whole range.

Since these rigs are sold with different bandlimits in different regions, with the same diode matrix (almost), there must be a way or another to program with software. I hope.
