I'd like to find some documented instances of the FCC enforcing some justice on individual CB ops. Not just businesses like the Pilot Travel Centers. I'm mining Google, but not having much luck, If anyone could assist, that would be fantabulous.

Hi ECI and all,
You likely won't hear of any FCC enforcement against individual CBers because I haven't heard any from any source including some CBers in over 20 years. That doesn't say however that there hasn't been any, could have been a >few< just that I haven't heard of any.
Since the FCC field engineers are spread thin and supported complaints are few plus the fact they no longer monitor CB enforcement is next to non-existant. Those supported complaints come from hams and other licensed services, certainly not from CBers so naturally enforcement is proportionally little.
The days when pink slips came from the Alegian Point MI monitoring station are long gone as is the station itself.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I went by the local PILOT traval center ( i -65 and alabama highway 67 ..just East of Decatur , Al. ) and discovered to my surprise there were none of the " illegal 10 meter rigs " that used to occupy the shelves, the name tags were gone too. They DID have the Galaxy 949 and 959 models ( which CAN be modified to go above and below the regular 40 channels, but NOT in the 10 meter amateur band ) for sale and a few Cobra models ( 21, 25, 29, 148 ) and that was it. 6 different models of cb rigs. They sure straightened up their act in Decatur, Al. for what it is worth.
 God loves you .
Be as nice as you can to others.
I type real slow for those of you who can not read fast.

Go to the FCC web site, FCC.GOV.
Do some searching under the enforcement section. There are several entries regarding CBers being cited. It will take a while to find, but they are there.
IF I remember correctly, they are listed under the Field Enforcement section.
I remember one from Alabama that got zinged for $ 4000.00. There are others, but they are all difficult to find. The commission site is not the easiest to navigate.

Here is a list of some CBers getting hit for various infractions--and that doesn't include those of truckers and others filching on 10 Meters.

Went back to the FCC website and spent over an hour and could not find the Alabama reference.
Like I said, the FCC website is a horrible place to find anything. I have found several instances of CBers being zinged in the past, but I cannot find the section again.
Sorry for the "Wild Goose Chase"

Oh, well. <shrug> Whatever it was, odds are it was excessive power and/or out-of-band operation if it was an individual, or sale of illegal equipment if it was a business.
K4KWH's Popular Wireless link points to a page dated 2001. There must be something more recent out there somewhere.

I've found a couple so far. One of my co-workers has a son who has suddenly developed an interest in CB. I guess the kid brought home a linear amp and he wants a copy of the rules so he can convince the kid that it's not the thing to be doing. I thought a few enforcement actions documented against individuals might help to convince the kid that the FCC does and will take action. Sort of trying to scare him straight.
