FORMAN, ROBERT, 54, N4CRP of Miami, passed away Feb. 20, 2005. His 54th Birthday. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation 305-576-4000.
    .

Bob was a fixture in the South Florida Ham Community. Everyone here has a Bob story to tell. He was a friend to everyone. A big man with a big heart. I had the pleasure of knowing him since I moved to Miami in 1971. During his life he did a lot of different things from race cars at Florida City speedway to run his own Ham Radio Shop.

Every year at the Miami Hamfest you would find Bob in the same spot selling his used and new equipment.

In everything he did there was a common theme, friends hanging around having a good time. He got quite a few of us interested in ham radio back in the 1980’s in fact he arranged for a group of us to take our novice test with an Extra class ham at his shop. Bob was a General.

Ham Radio has lost a friend.

I knew Bob Forman in 1984 when he sold me my first transceiver ( Yaesu FT 101) in his shop in 107 Avenue in Cutler Ridge area.

After that day, for 21 years , Bob was always a close friend and is true...everyone in Miami who knew Bob has a Bob story to tell.

I saw him days before his death and I will always #remember Bob as a real good friend.

My condolences to Bob's family and all friends who knew Bob .

After the recent passing of W9NA, Reno Goetsch, I know the loss the Amateur Radio operators in the area must feel. It is a great loss. His memory will live on in the stories they tell.

    My sincere condolence,
    Jerry, W9GLG
