John Kerry brought prohibited material into last Thursday's Presidential Debate. From section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns:

    Rest of the story

Is this the real deal or partisan spinning?

    You tell me.

Maybe he needed the notes for Candidate has financial ties to backers of mullah regime.

"Sen. John Kerry's call for providing Iran with the nuclear fuel it seeks, even while the regime is believed to be only months away from developing nuclear weapons, is being linked to his campaign contributions from backers of the mullah government in Tehran. "

I guess he did not want to forget about his friends there.

It seemed to me that, for some reason, Kerry got more time to answer the question than Bush did on a lot of questions.

Kerry also gave some incorrect answers to some of the questions. Going by Kerry's rules about using incorrect information, he LIED to the American Public.I'm sure GW caught it ,but being the Gentleman he is did not make a scene over it,I think that was a mistake,he should have called him on it to let the rest of the world know just what kind of a LIAR he is .Of course he would have denied it saying he was only updating the facts,to better support his views. #
In all my years I have never seen an election that scares me like this one, there are people who not only vocalize their support for Kerry, but they are serious about it,that scares me more than the re-election of Slick Willy, and we all saw what he did to the country!! #

    What should be done?

If it is indeed proven to be factual. All I ask that it be reported in the press so voters can add one more information point to their decision making process.

Get the news back to doing what they should be doing, presenting facts.

They both gave incorrect statements. Bush said 100,000 Iraquis were now trained. Fact is it is less than 50,000 and that is questionable. Kerry stated that we have spent 200 Billion when in fact it is more like 130 billion supposedly. If neither one is smart enough to correct the other, then so be it.

This election scares me also. This administration will do anything to get elected. We had a campaign worker for Bush come to our door with a religous tract stating we were basically at war with the mid-east and compared Bush to King David! This is scary stuff.

I wouldn't mention "slick willy" in the same breath as GWB. If you like I can list the 50 or so accomplishments Clinton provided vs. Bush's incompetetent record.

From that camera angle, you can't tell what it was, but it looked too small to be a stack of note cards - looked more like a ball point pen to me, and it looked like he clicked it.

I would say that this is classic spin. Kerry did better in this debate because he simply has a better story to tell in relation to the war in Iraq.

Oddly enough, I expect the President to do better than expected in the domestic issues debate, because he has a few fig leaves to hide behind there. But he is going to have a hard time with the budget deficit, the balance of trade deficit, and jobs.

It has been pretty much determined that Kerry unfolded something and you cannot unfold a pen. Also, the rules definitely stated that NOTHING was to be brought into the "debate" except for the clothed body of the participants. Pens, paper, etc., were all to be provided.

Also, concerning the questions, on the Don Imus program the very next morning Leherer (sp?) was asked why he was biased in asking the questions. That is, Kerry got the "passes" and Bush got the hard ones. He refused to answer that.
