Launched in 1904, the 'Elettra' was a two-masted steam yacht that Guglielmo Marconi used as a floating laboratory for many experiments. Part of her keel stands in the grounds of Villa Griffone, at Pontecchio near Bologna, from where special event station II4MB will be activated by ARI Fidenza (www.arifidenza.it) during the Museum Ships Weekend on 6-7 June. The special callsign is in memory of the late Maurizio Bigazzi, for many years technical and scientific advisor at the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation's Museum.
