The Boca Raton Amateur Radio Association. A few years ago our club conceived a plan to help local amateur operators that could not install antennas due to HOA restrictive covenants and also for many of our members who are retired citizens on fixed income to provide a place where they could operate and contribute to the amateur hobby. The club has seen as a result of our commitment to education, youth formation (Boy Scouts Hamboree) and emergency operation involvement a steady growth of our membership. As a result we have outgrown the size of our current shack. We are in the process of securing a substantially larger shack effectively tripling the area of our current facility. In order to accomplish this, a campaign to help collect funds towards this worthy cause is in effect. The Club is a 501(c)(3) and your donation can be tax deductible if needed. We sincerely appreciate your kind support. As an officer for another club in the country, I am curious how you got the land? I have previously thought that It seems like a small trailer like those used for construction sites or something like that would be a great solution for a club station building. But the problem is where to get the land to put it on. Was the land gifted, or did someone grant the club a long term lease etc? Just curious.
