    COOKEN A.R.C. , Newark, OH will again be operating from world famous Dawes Arboretum, commemorating Arbor Day/Earth Day from among the trees. Nearly 100 nature oriented groups will be set up for your perusing/ enjoyment. Ever rope climb a 100 ft tree? You can now!

    Mode: SSB FQ: 7230khz - 14280khz - 21280khz - 28480khz.
    FM 146.88 repeater for you locals.

    A very impressive QSL will be available for self printing, a few weeks after the event.

    Generator power will be used this year.

    QTH: two miles north of I-70. Take Exit 132, north on Rte 13. Dawes will be on your left.

    Main bands will be 40m and 20m, but you never know. If conditions warrant it we will be on 15m and 10m as well.

    Station: 100w to 4BTV vertical w/30 radials.

    NVIS Station: WW8OH - 7240 khz - 10am -4 pm

    As an added bonus, be sure to listen for our 100w NVIS station also located in Dawes, active from 10 am til 4 pm. on 40m ssb, as part of the ARES NVIS Special Event. ARES is looking to see how effective propagation is using simple high-angle radiators and 100w stations, in simulated emergency conditions. Every report will be helpful.

    UPDATE: Our NVIS station will split their time between the previously announced 7240 khz freq. and 3850khz. If you work them on one band, ask them to qsy to the other band as well.
