The WW1USA special event station will be on the air again May 9-10 to commemorate the centennial sinking of the HMS Lusitania by a German U-boat in May 1915. This special event station will again be operating from the grounds of The National World War 1 Museum at Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, MO USA. Operating time will be continuous from 1500 UTC on Saturday May 9 through 2200 UTC Sunday May 10. Modes will be phone, CW and PSK. Stations worked during that period can submit their QSO info and receive a special commemorative certificate. If you've worked us before, note that the certificate issued for each event is unique - you'll want to collect as many as possible. See ww1usa.org or our QRZ.com page for more details about the event and other scheduled 2015 events. On May 9-10, look for WW1USA on your favorite DX spotting site.
The WW1USA special event scheduled for May 9-10 has been postponed. A new date will be announced on this forum shortly. Thanks
