    Stewart Edward Cook, 84, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, with his niece and nephew at his side.

    Born in Amsterdam on August 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Harold H. and Jessie E. Sangster Cook. Mr. Cook was raised and educated in Albany and resided in Albany for most of his life.
    He was employed as an electronics service technician early in his working career. He later was employed by the City of Albany Water Department as a clerk for many years before retiring several years ago.
    He was an avid Lionel train collector and was a ham radio operator with the call letters K2IUD.
    He belonged to the Train Collectors Association and the National Association of Amateur Radio.
    He was the husband of the late Anne Miller Cook, who died in 1996; brother of the late Carol Ann DiBacco and Linda Cook; uncle of Carol A. (Joseph) Della Rocca of Latham, William G. (Pamela) DiBacco of Maplewood and the late Lisa A. DiBacco; great-uncle of Brittney and Billy DiBacco, Isabella Della Rocca, Darcy and Michael DeFruscio.

    The funeral service will be Thursday, March 5, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet.
    Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.

    Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
    St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
    or the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
