    Feb. 25, 1940 — Nov. 6, 2014

Carl Roger Schiller, 74, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Nov. 6 as a result of a stroke. Born in Chicago to parents Paul Charles and Jane Frances King, Carl grew up in Chicago and attended Lane Technical High School. A gifted model maker and draftsman, Carl joined the Skokie Fire Department in Skokie, Ill. in 1961 and served the village as a fireman and paramedic until he retired in 1986.

Carl enjoyed ham radio and had worldwide contacts. He chased steam trains, enjoyed building N gauge model trains, flying sailplanes, camping and cars. Recent summers were spent helping out at the Circle K Guest Ranch in Dolores, Colo., where he used his skills to help repair almost anything and to provide friendship with everyone.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends and his loving lab, Whiskey Blue.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jackie; his son, Cory and wife Adrianne; grandchildren, Coryssa, Graham, Brent, Bernadette and Christian; and great-grandchildren, Josiah and Zechariah. He is also survived by a special niece, Sharon Boyes Schiller and her son, Ryan. Carl was proud of his family and loved spending time with them.

A service celebrating his life will be at St. Michaels United Methodist Church at 2895 S. Jamaica Blvd. at 1 p.m., Nov. 24. The family request that memorials be made to Western Arizona Humane Society in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
