Dedicated IRC server for Amateur radio operators Worldwide

Hi All


Thanks to the HamRadioCoin Staff amateur radio operators now have a dedicated IRC network (Begining 9 Jan. 2015). Anyone can make channels and use with ham friends!

When you are connected to server type /chanserv help OR /nickserv help for commands list and to register your nickname/channels on network!

Our server can be reached via 142.4.203.77:6667 or irc.hamradioirc.net:6667 . Default channels are #hamradiocoin #hamradio

What's the benefits to your server vs. joining an already established community on freenode (##hamradio) or the one on geekshed (#redditnet) ?

 

One of the owners of ##hamradio on Freenode had JUST learned about the Redditnet IRC after I mentioned it recently.

There is a good group of people in the OP's IRC, some people just may not know about other (or any) networks. More is better!

 

IRC server has been upgraded. New IRC IP=198.27.108.236 you can use this IP until DNS propagates

 

Now we have definitive url for our IRC servers on network:

irc.hamradioirc.net
hertz.hamradioirc.net
maxwell.hamradioirc.net

Default port 6667, SSL port 6697

 

haven't used irc for lots of years.....but i will give it a try...
