    Hi everybody,
After Luca Parmitano KF5KDP, Paolo Nespoli IZ0JPA and Roberto Vittori IK0DZK, Samanta Cristoforetti IZ0UDF will be active from the International Space Station. The Call is the same IR0ISS used in the past from other cosmonauts.

You can see the different Down-Link and Uplink frequencies/Zones at this page

    http://www.issfanclub.com/frequencies

Also here you can see the current ISS position on the Earth
    http://www.n2yo.com/?s=25544

I hope that this information is correct.

I'm sorry but I made a mystake (sorry!!), because the correct Callsign is IR0ISS http://www.qrz.com/db/IR0ISS and not NA1SS (this is the Call of the "International Space Station Amateur Radio Club"). The italian cosmonauts who will comunicate from the ISS probably will use IR0ISS.

Ciao Antonio 73 many thanks but I guess I can heardly talk with Samantha Cristoforetti because I dont' have a lot of time in these days (non credo che riuscirò a collegarla poiché non ho molto tempo per stare dietro alla ISS ma ad altri farà piacere sicuramente).

    Thanks, 73

Good news. I know the ISS doesn't usually make too many voice contacts outside of school contacts
but maybe the new crew might get active. That would be fun

I think doing much listening you can find the right opportunity, even with simple working conditions as little yagi and a Handheld rig.
The advantage is that passing on our heads it's theorically more easy. They are however very short contacts, just the time to say "Hello". It's very important to know the right location and have faith!

How many people wont to receive a Qsl from space?

In addition to what as already be written I forgot to tell you that the mission is named "Futura". Also please take a look at Samantha Qrz page to read other interesting informations about currently frequencies used for Amateur Radio ISS contacts:

    Best regards,
    Michele
