KA2GVD John Marcovecchio

My friend, John "Marco" Marcovecchio, KA2GVD passed on Sept 23. He was my neighbor in Commack, NY. He was a former member of the Grumman Amateur Radio Club and a very active VE. He was always ready to serve when I needed a third VE, in spite of living with one lung. He had recently undergone a successful open heart surgery but was released from the hospital too soon. He died of pneumonia at home while "recovering" from surgery.
