    I just learned my good friend Gerald (Jerry) Thye (W0GLT) went SK on August 11, 2014 in Eugene, OR. Jerry and I met as co-workers at Boeing in 1988 and remained friends even though he relocated several times from Washington through China, Australia and eventually Oregon.

    His call W0GLT was originally his uncle's and coincidentally his initials, Gerald L. Thye.

    Jerry was a well regarded 737 Captain for many years and active in the Civil Air Patrol.
