    Hi Everybody;

    This year as well as the 4 years previous the MDSR Team has published the continued development of the MDSR software and the RX/TX Bi-LIF hardware that can adapt to almost any symmetric HF transceiver (FT-817, FT-857, FT-897, FT-950, IC-703, IC-906 IC-7000, IC7200, IC-756, TS-2000) With a simple down-converter PCB (LIF2014 – RX only) and your computer soundcard or on board sound device all the listed transceivers and many others can be turned into IF-SDRs. This also allows the use of 3rd. party software like fldigi, JT-65-HF and many more; as explained in the publication and in the manual.
    The MDSR development also provides an additional up-converter PCB that can turn the listed transceivers into full RX-TX IF-SDRs where all the modulation and demodulation are performed in the computer. For the TX version please contact alexschwarz@telus.net directly.

    This years document deals with the continued development of the MDSR software V2.8 and the use of USB port external sound devices. The external sound cards are also used to build a portable and mobile MDSR SDR system (see pictures below).

    …or our Yahoo MDSR user group:

    The MDSR and the BiLIF development will give your existing radio a performance boost and extend the capabilities of the transceiver into the digital modes!
    The MDSR download also includes easy to follow manuals in PDF format which are also available separately on the group or website.

    Thank you and 73

    The MDSR Team
